A gentle, light-touch technique that supports the immune system, reduces swelling, and promotes natural detoxification.

60 – 90 minutes

About Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialised, gentle massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system — the body's natural drainage and immune defence network. Using very light, rhythmic, wave-like movements, MLD encourages the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body, helping to remove toxins, reduce swelling, and support overall health.

Unlike traditional massage, MLD uses minimal pressure. The technique works on the superficial lymphatic vessels just beneath the skin, making it a uniquely gentle yet deeply effective treatment.

What to Expect

During your MLD session, your therapist will use a series of precise, light-touch movements that follow the natural pathways of the lymphatic system. The treatment is deeply relaxing and may include:

  • Gentle, rhythmic pumping motions applied to the neck, face, and key lymph node areas
  • Light, sweeping strokes along the limbs to encourage lymph flow
  • Circular movements over specific areas to stimulate drainage
  • Careful attention to the sequence and direction of techniques to ensure optimal results

The pressure used in MLD is very light — much lighter than a traditional massage. This is because the lymphatic vessels are located close to the skin's surface and respond best to gentle stimulation.
